BENLTY Bently Nevada 3500/46M Hydraulic Monitor
The semiconductor industry has some of the most demanding applications that combine extremely high accuracy and precision with high throughput. Semiconductor processing can be divided into two parts - "front-end" and "back-end".
The term backend refers to the process of cutting a chip into individual chips and all subsequent processes; For example, testing, assembly, and packaging. The goal of online packaging inspection equipment is to provide high-precision 100% analysis while maintaining high throughput.
System Requirements
The challenge of keeping up with packaging innovation has sharply increased. The rapid development towards higher density and smaller size is pushing the limits of the visual system.
To address these issues, the company is seeking a complete high-performance system that can reliably capture images to perform high-speed, high-precision online detection. Meanwhile, the customer wishes to reduce installation/maintenance work.
System Description
When equipment manufacturers design advanced precision machining machines, choosing the right components determines their level of success. For this project, the motion control card, image acquisition card, and camera greatly affect the overall productivity and accuracy of the system. Therefore, Advantech has proposed an intelligent GigE visual frame grabber, a DSP based multi axis motion control card, and a compact modular system for direct integration in space limited machines to achieve high-precision and high productivity IC packaging inspection.
This solution uses industrial grade computers combined with PCIE-1174 and a four channel intelligent GigE visual frame grabber (including dedicated field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs)) to reconstruct images, which are then transmitted in real-time to the host PC through DMA (direct memory access). This frees up the host's processor and ensures that there is no frame or packet loss during the image acquisition process. To further assist with installation and maintenance, this series also includes the use of PoE (Power over Ethernet) and Ad Hoc protocols, which, like DHCP, do not require a specific IP address, allowing system integrators (SIs) to simply plug in the camera for use.
